Reader Magnets: Build Your Author Platform and Sell more Books on KindleReader Magnets: Build Your Author Platform and Sell more Books on Kindle by Nick Stephenson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Description

Reader Magnets details how to create a funnel of sorts to get readers to sign up for your author newsletter. It also has info on how to keep them on the list once you get them there.

The Review

I love that the author shows you how to ease readers’ fears when getting them to sign up for your newsletter. And the tips and tricks and the abundance of examples to follow make the information very accessible.

You will need more than one book in your back titles (two minimum) in order to create the “magnets,” so not every author can follow his example right away, but it’s useful knowledge and a compelling argument for creating short stories and novellas as opposed to strictly novels.

I’ll be implementing his tactics as soon I’m able to build up my back titles. :)

If you’re an author with an existing catalog looking to build your platform, this book is incredibly useful. If you’re an author just starting out, the information is still good to know, but you may have to come up with different ideas until you can start using his exact tactics. Thankfully, there’s more than one way to offer readers value, it just may take longer to attract the readers you want.
