Poem: You Heard Me

This poem was written at a time of gratitude for all God had done in Angel Leya's life. It was written in a style similar to what you might find in psalms.

You Heard Me

In my anguish, I cried out for help,
But none one would listen,
They couldn’t hear what I had to tell.
I was so alone.
So, I cried out to God and He heard my plea;
My burdens have been lifted.
I’ve found a friend that I can always lean on;
He is always with me.
What can I say?
How can I respond to this love everlasting?
It covers like a blanket.
Your love kept me going when nothing else could.
My heart was aching and you made it well.
My loneliness was unbearable
Until You came to be my friend.
I’m home with you.

This was more in keeping with a psalm type of poem. It was a time of gratitude for all God had done in my life. Yes, I had those moments every now and again.

What are you grateful for? How do you express your gratitude? Let’s discuss it in the comments below.
