Where are You Lord?
Where has my Love gone?
Your face, O Lord, do not hide from me;
I must see You again!
When can I see You again?
Though I search high and low,
I cannot find You.
I want to see You in Your glory.
I will not give up!
Where must I go to find You?
I must have more.

This poem was about the desire for a deeper relationship with God. Sometimes He feels far away, but He is always there. This was written in my teen years as I was searching for something that felt true and right. What I realize now is that it’s not about feeling all the time. Still, the thirst was there, and there is nothing wrong with searching for God. It helps you to learn more about him.

What have you desired to have more of? How did you go about pursuing it? Let’s talk about it in the comments below.

  1. I too often thirst for a deeper relationship with Christ. As someone very active in my faith, I sometimes get wrapped up in the things I have to do, and forget the point. I like to go back and read the 4 gospels when I feel like I need a jumpstart to help remind me.

    • Hey Gwen! Reading about Jesus is a great reminder. I love how God shows himself to each of us in different ways. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I am seeking each day to trust Him in my circumstances no matter what they are
