Forever Friend

Dedicated to Andrea Goff, my bestest friend as a teenager.

I had a thought of you today,
Of how your life had made mine bright
With every little word you say,
And every movement brings me light.

Your laughter, tears, and anger too
Have all served to help me see
That you show in all you do
That I love you and you love me!

Our hearts are knit just as one,
With Jesus as the binding cord.
And with you I feel right at home;
Together we worship the awesome Lord.

So now I have described our love
And how it is so heavenly—
We’re forever knit from above
I love you eternally!

As you can see, I dedicated this a friend poem I wrote for my friend as a teenager. Life has caused us to drift apart, but there will always be a love between us. Friendship is a beautiful thing, and some friendships will come and go, but they all help mold your life.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life? What friendships have you carried with you through the years and which have you had to let go? Let’s talk about them in the comments below. (Please keep your comments kind.)
