Arise Church

Star, Beacon of Light.
Light your county for all to see.
Holy, Father God
Shines His love through you.
The church arises.
She shakes off the dust,
And extends her hands again to the world.
The gift that she gives
Shines ever brighter,
Bringing the world to Him.
She arises—one body, one heart.
She does not stumble as she walks Your path.
She does not sleep.
She never grows weary.
She is sustained by the love she gives.
Church arise!
Put on your dress of praise.
Put on your dancing shoes.
Your King is coming for you.
Rejoice in Him again.

This poem was written about the church. I take a lot of my poetry inspiration from the psalms, and this was definitely written in that style. What types of poetry inspire you? Let me know in the comments below!
